How to play

- Character Movement is done in analog stick
- move the camera with the direction pad
- Lock on/off on your opponent with the Left shoulder button (or L-trigger)
- Defend by pressing right shoulder button (or R-trigger)
- Dodge enemy attacks by pressing right shoulder button and pressing the cross button at the same time (R-trigger+X)
- When there is a cursor on the wall or an ledge, press the triangle button to wall run or slide a ledge (a great way to keep distance to your opponent)
- Press the cross button to jump (X button)
- Press start to pause and see your character status and set your skill from there

- Press the circle button to perform a BP (brave points) attack, repeatedly press it to do combos. Doing so will deplete your opponents BP and add it to your own BP
- Press the square button to perform an HP ( an attack towards your opponents health) attack. The HP attack is slow but when it hits, you will damage your opponent’s health equivalent to your BP. For example, you have 345 BP and decide to do a HP attack, if it hits, you damage your opponent for 345 HP and your current BP turns to zero. Then you have to start comboing opponent again to gain more BP (see also picture)
- Break status is gotten when you deplete your opponent BP to zero. If your opponent reached Break status, you will receive the BP in the BP pool (the Brave points in between you and your opponent health bar)

- Keep hitting your opponent with combo attacks and he will drop small EX orbs that you can collect to fill your EX gauge with. If you wait for a while the EX orbs will be drawn to EX cores. There are two different EX cores, EX cores with one wing fills 1/2 of your EX gauge while two winged EX cores fully fills up your ex gauge.
- The EX gauge is the purple crystal bar next to your character image during gameplay. When the EX gauge is full you can enter EX mode. During ex mode you get status changing buffs like protect and haste and you get stronger and different combo attacks during EX mode.
- To enter EX mode, have your EX gauge full and then press R-trigger+square buttons to activate EX mode.(Note: the picture above is wrong button :P, it says square + X button)
- If you do a HP attack during EX mode, a square icon will show up on the screen. Press the square to perform a EX burst (note: if HP attack is successful, your BP Turns to zero like normal. you dont get keep your BP during an EX burst.)
- EX burst works kinda like limits in FF7. The EX burst will first start out as a mini-game with you keep attacking with your combo attack to build up your BP and if you complete the mini-game you will do one last attack in form of a HP attack for massive damage

Tactics/Strategy Battle
- When you make the first attack the first thing you need to do is collect some BP from enemy, use the O (circle button). And you can collect some EX orb to fill your EX gauge too.
- When the enemy left no BP / Break.. that’s mean you’ll get some extra BP from there (make sure it’s big >.< the total maybe more than 800++ ? ). Use HP attack (square button) to damage the enemy, that will make some big damage.
- When the EX Orb is gather in one place, you’ll see it flies to 1 point.. go there quickly before your enemy !! there’s EX cores with wings(or wing ?) that can fill your EX gauge faster .
- I just found how to run faster to the EX cores with wing/s (but you must have action ability Dash forward and Equip it, the one with R-trigger+triangle), first press L-trigger to change the target (from enemy to EX cores with wing/s). Once you targeted the EX cores with wing/s press R-trigger+triangle button, your character will dash~ run run !! :3
- When your EX gauge full, press R-trigger+square button for EX mode. Hit the enemy with HP attack (square button) then continue to the instruction on the screen, press square button, then (press xxx button?). Note : xxx here different for one to another char, e.g: Cloud must press O button rapidly.. then you’ll see the limit break.
- No need to make you gauge full all the time, if the enemy already have a few/little blood (red).. just kill it already >.<
- When you use BP attacks(circle button), make sure you’ll hit the enemy to the air, or just make some big distance. For what ? Combos, yeah when there’s a big distance/no walls around there will be instruction to hit X button attack(circle button), again , again and again.. yeah combos rules >.< ( just make sure that when the enemy dodge your attack during the combo, you must dodge too (press R-trigger+X button) then attack(circle button)).
- Some time you’ll see cursor, not only on the wall… but also at life stream(at some stage).. Press Triangle button to ride on the stream..
Okay the last one maybe not strategy
, i just found it for fun or run faster. I hope This strategy will help you too.. Please add some comment if you want me to add something, or tell me if there’s some mistake i make (e.g: wrong button). Thanks

You’re the friggin’ man. Thank you so much.
You just made this game 150 times more fun to play.
Thank you ^-^
I can finally play the game now!
Thanky you !This is very helpfull ^^
But i have one question ^^
When i am in Story Mode and play with anybody
how can i get back to the Main Menu ? Or isnt this able till i have one Story from a charcater throug ?
try this :
Press start button, there will be 4 options to choose
choose the 3rd one (yes), and there will be 3 more options
choose the 3rd one again to back to Main Menu
am…ty…but 1 question..how to enter hard mode???
in story mode or quick battle ? I dunno how to change in story mode.. i think it’s already set by default there
in quick battle you can increase the number to the highest
Great..tx for the translation..if you don’t mind..can you add the translation for the “versus” menu?
Coz i don’t get it how to set it..tx
Great Job
in versus menu there are 4 options after you choose characters :
1. Map
2. Difficulty, the higher the harder
3. Opponent Level
4. Opponent Behavior
You can change the number , and for difficulty and level : #low->easy, #high->hard
And for opponent behaviour :
1. Random
2. Uses Tatics
3. Brave/Courageous
4. Calamitous
5. Careful
6. Calm
7. Extreme
8. Gentle
9. Berserk/Offensive
Hey, Thanks a lot for the tranlation. BTW, I was wondering why I can’t make some of the good equipment for Sephiroth or Squall. I write down what to look for and I can’t find the items I need to trade for that equipment. I have them both at LV100 an I don’t have one piece of equipment over LV 50! HELP PLEASE!!!
I don’t know if I missed but how do I perform summons?
First you must have some summon, you can get it at story mode (the big red orb). Then go to customize menu, click the option #4. Then choose the summon you want to equip. Done ! You’ll see some of the summon will appear “auto” and “random”. For manual you can use R-trigger+O button
Like bahamut.. he will appear just when your BP turn to 0, then it will increase your BP slowly..
And some of the summon can miss their ability too.. e.g Odin, He’ll cut your BP into 0/Break.. but if you lucky enough he’ll miss it :3
Thanks for the translation. xD
But I already figured that out after a while I started playing.
I would be happy if you have more in-depth translation.
Sorry if I’m asking too much. But I just can’t get what does some of those action, support and extra abilities do.
Anyway,thanks for this. =)
oh.. okay..i’ll cover this later then
short explanation:
action ability :
This will cover all of your action keys, you just need to choose them (Equip). e.g : there are 2 R-trigger+triangle button, one for dash forward another one for dash back.
support ability :
just like action ability.. but this for support..
extra ability :
I think this one you don’t need to equip, it’s automatic ?
You’ll get new ability after some battle or level up
Could you explain how story mode works a little. I understand the gameplay and the basics but as for the Desity Points movement on the board those squares some of them wont go away even what I fight everything else. I might have to use some iteam to clear it out of the way. Also when you go into battle what it say enmy info then iteam. What are the items on the right that you choose from every battle a pick your loot or something? Thanks alot already though for making this.
you can see it at here. Still updating~
Also one more question. How do you play as the villains? They have them in the game kinda dumb not to be able to play as them. I want to give Keyfka a try
You have to unlock the Villians in the PP Mode (Main menu, look for the PP) and buy them with your points. They are 500 a piece and start with the Boss from FF1 and go down to FF11 I believe. You can only play as them in VS mode.
could you explain the equipment…like buyin and equiping…and how far into story mode do you have to go before u get summons….and when can you use the other chars in story mode
u can use all the chars in story well all the good guys…i only have to beat the game with 1 more char and i beat it will all the good guyz…and i just get items from battles…as for the summmons u just get them randomly
Wow thats a nice reply. When I asked about story mode you dident have to write a whole extra webpage but thanks now Im gonna stop playing story mode and unlock all the bosses. Thanks again I love this game i think they should make a PS3 version or atleast continue the “Dissidia” series.
Thanks alot man
Hey thanks so much for those updates.
You rock. =) Keep it up.
thank you for all the info..is it posible for you to show all the characters all their move list and abilitys that they learn.
Yea Thanks For The Translations. I May Be Dumb, But I Cant seem to do combos. tried the whole game completed it, but didnt do any combo once b4. Could u help me out?
for combos.. i think it depend on the character moves as in BP attack (circle button).. because now i noticed that some of the moves can do combo , and some can’t..
When the move can do combo.. the ‘press “X” button’ will appear.. and you can continue to press O button again or just press square button to finish it… and remember, the enemy can dodge and attack you while you do the attacking ..
i hope this help
hmm… do i need to make the picture for the combo ?
I was playing and my character just randomly thew a fireball! How in the world did I do that? And now I can’t do it again, I assume I equipped some form of magic without realizing it.
i think you use the character skill, i belive that you equip it in the ablity->attack skills->bravery->land/air ability . Coz some character have fireball skill
can you make a patch please?your translation is good but a patch would be better.
i won´t look everytime where what is
patch ? as in psp patch ? I’m sorry i can’t do that >.<” , and i don’t even know how to make one… hehehe
oh ok.
that would be great, but you need knowledge in hacking,i think so.
your translation is great.do you won`t search a team for rom hacking?
oh.. i see.. but i think i don’t have anytime for that hehehe, i think it really take much time. Why don’t we wait for the US version
oh yea rom hacking is really timefully (sorry i dont know the english word for Zeitaufwendig) ^^
Can you make a translation of the connection mode?
I need help! when Cloud is in EX Mode it doesnt cast Regen on him but the others has Regen! HELP!
